Well i have been banging on and on about this unfairground stricker for some time without revealing much about how it will look. Construction’s going well and at last i have something to show you.
This is just the top section, the whole thing stands over 6 meters tall, successful rings on the bell get Dotmaster prizes, original works, hand made voodoo dolls and some other surprizes. Its bloody big and bloody hard to win so its fits right in at the Unfairground at this years Glastonbury.
The best buy of the year for me (i know it’s sad but…) Large 1.1m 6KG rubber paving hammer for the Old Boney stricker for the unfairground at Glastonbury 2011 (shoe added for scale). If your there check it out, going to be dead silly, great fun, super prizes and only £1 a go. Roll up, Roll up. can’t wait to see a load of sad lost its trying to swing a bloody great mallet.
So i’ve been fairly tight lipped about Glastonbury, but the bugger is in full effect this month. Unfairground returns, the sideshows of last year are being added to with a monster 25′ Striker (test your strength machine). Don’t want to show too much at the moment, but it has a voodoo skeleton theme. Just been making some prototypes for the prizes, featured below are Mark I, Mark II and Mark III.
Still not there…..its going to take a few more trials but you kinda get the nasty idea. Hand sticked evil dolls, may even go for a few different designs. Lets hope the weather is as good as last year, the Unfairground looks like its set to go from strength to strength.
Months in the making, finally after two weeks install on site the sideshows were ready for the public, The Barking showmen had their costumes, make up and were drunk enough to berate the public, so on first friday of the festival the sideshows opened to huge crowds eager to try their luck on the the unfairest ride in the unfair ground.
All the unfun of the fair, there were steady crowds who lined up to either throw baby doll body parts through the mouths on the gobbler or knock down the heads on the crackheads. The nights rolled on the barkers got horse, some of the heads were smashed clean of their posts (can’t be a lot of love out there for some of these celebrities)
Over 2000 played during the weekend, dead fish prizes were won by all that played and a lucky few won the star prizes of our limited edition dolls. The rides could not of been done without the fantastic help of our crew, thats Caroline, Ruth, Cy, Finbar, Pete, Lizzy, Ross. Thanks guys you made a great weekend! Crack Heads and Gobbler are now touring sideshows available for all your twisted fairgrounds and festivals, use the contact form for inquiries.
Not much content as yet, but during the build up and while festival is on the site will be updated, check out The Unfairground
