Made in Chelsea

Had a fun time with the ‘Made in Chelsea’ crew yesterday, the glamourous Sophie HermannVictoria Baker-Harber lent a hand to paint some Dotmaster stuff on the back wall of Graffik gallery, Portobello road. A funny morning, filming the girls painting with Mark Vandelli turning up to critique with his own unique style. The whole thing should be aired sometime in April. During the morning the girls taught me some valuable style tips.

1. Always make sure when painting to have the appropriate footwear.

2. You can get away with any outfit with gorgeous hair.

3. Skinny girls still look skinny in boiler suits…. but don’t like the experience. (full body shots have been with held on the requests of the girls).

Oh yeah …..and we painted something.

Dreams of Louis V

Since last summer i have been getting requests for this image The Dreams of Louis V to be released as a silkscreen print. It was a very popular canvas from last years Outside in show in Stavanger, Norway. The various colours in the florets would have meant multiple screens at an incredible cost.

The solution seemed to be a hand finished silkscreen edition. Printed by those nice chaps down at Another fine mesh on Arches 88 blanc cotton rag stock, 56cm x 76cm (22″ x 30″) with a deckled edge all the way round.

Then hand finished in the studio in depths of Barking
An edition of 36, signed and blind stamped by The Dotmasters,

Gerlan Jeans

In these times of financial uncertainty how is a small unique fashion label able to fund a collection? Well, an very old friend Gerlan Marcel has come up with a novel way to get that illusive cash, spread the load amongst her network. She only has five days left to reach her $17,358 target and she only needs $587 . There is a staggered reward system for those that contribute…go on become a fashion impresario. check here for details or visit her site here. Come on Beyonce wears this stuff.

Bow optional

Old model

Wandering around brick lane on my way to atlantis, spotted these. Don’t know who did em but loved the technique if not the subject matter. Aren’t these folk famous enough? Is it weird cutting stuff from other peoples pictures or is it just me? Who knows perhaps Nick Knight is getting up. Nice style though. Ian from Wallkandy reckoned they were some sort of viral ad campaign, figures.

Last piece of the Gobbler

Finished the last piece of the Gobbler side show for Galstonbury last night, 24′ x 8′.  Its the header decoration making the sideshow stand at about 18′ high. Now its just a case of packing it all and moving it on site and erecting the thing. I cant wait till we are throwing baby heads through those open mouths…..confused? wait and see!
